Mozzies in Spain

When is the mozzy season here in Spain, getting bitten to bits at the moment in Tavira.

Are you near a river ?
We had a really bad night near Gandia right next to the beach, the second night was no problem, we discovered some marsh land and lakes while out on our bikes, they either followed us home or the wind changed. Bob.

Any type of standing water is sufficient for them to appear.So if you are near a water deposit for irrigation then you will get mossies.

Haven't seen or heard any on the Costa Dorada

I had one in the bedroom last night at 4.00am the bloody thing got me , took another 15mins to find it and kill it , they are seriously covert little creatures.

We normally manage to travel with a human sacrifice who seem to attract all the mozzies to them leaving us clear, it used to be RitaG who was a member on here, luckily after she stopped motorhoming, the Son in law stepped up to help mozzies just love him
