Motorhomes by the sea…

Northam burrows DEVON . Westward ho area.
Massive beach with slip way by life guard hut made of concrete sleeper turn up side down recently reconstructed to beach
starts off pebbles then sand at low tide goes out a long way plenty parking for Motorhome’s in car park behind no overnight stay
Can get busy ,
I don’t own Motorhome yet. But fairly local to area believe parking is £8 a day .

Plenty camp sites around , Hartland have a lot of farm /campsites.
If you get stuck you park out my house . Quite enough part from my dogs 🐶.

Worth a Google at least .

Another vote for Blackrock Sands. Huge, under-used (even in high summer) sandy beaches.

There are two camp sites with good access, and the road that the sites are accessed from, literally drives onto the beach, ideal for buggies and wheelchairs. Or if you prefer, you can park on the beach itself. No height restrictions.

Just make sure that you come via Porthmadog. The SatNav might take you the back way. I've driven that way in a car and it was hairy. I would say that it is impassable for a motorhome. A campervan might just make it though.
Thank you. I appreciate the heads up about the route too! 👍🏻☺️

Haven't been there for a few years but Polzeath used to be a fantastic place and great atmosphere. Parking on the beach during the day and camping on the headland

Try Borve on the Isle of Barra,Outer Hebrides, not much sand but loads of Ozone and weather 🤪🤪🤪🥴🤪🥴🤪🥴

Last October south of Gruissan we had a hell of a job finding anyware to stop. We ended up on a grotty Camping Car Parks Aire that was just a fenced off section of a tarmac car park (and people rave about Camping Car Parks being good).
Wanted somewhere to go paddleboarding after that night gave up and carried on to Spain.

There is a small car park just up the road at the nature reserve visitor centre but if was full you would be OK with your little van. Busy with cars coming & going.

Exmouth - depending on the size of your motorhome - Exmouth sea front parking up to 5.3m, Maer road which is a short distance from the beach takes larger ones (there are special bays) Both are £11 per night. One thing to watch with Maer road - it has a barrier which is closed at 7pm in summer, 4pm in winter.

Read a report that they are in consultation (with themselves I expect) to bump up prices to £30 per night 🥴
