We have 4G and it works. We do not have any 5G kit so I cannot help with coverage. But from experience when going on rallies which tend to be in fields in the countryside, you are lucky to get anything.

There's quite a bit of 5g in Spain so if you go there it should be fine. :)

The 5G Motorhome Wifi system works really well.
I have an EE Sim I use mainly and a Smarty (Three network) as a backup. EE has better coverage, Smarty has better speeds.
I have been surprised at the number of places that do have 5G..it's all over the UK now.
Works well for family of 4 when away

I've got a Teltonika 5G router with a Poynting antenna. I'm also running EE as my primary SIM and Smarty as the backup.

Generally we've not had too many issues with coverage. Worst was a campervan festival where there was plenty of signal, but it was so congested there was no bandwidth.

I'm not seeing 5G all that often. I did see it more in Ireland though. The reality is that 5G is less about speed and more about getting more capacity on the network.

Yeah, capacity is a big thing.

I was at the latitude music festival this year and went a bit early to setup as the family couldn't arrive till Friday PM.
When I arrived Wednesday, EE was giving me over 100Mbps (on Speedtest), but by Friday this was below 2Mbps due to congestion
Then I switched to Smarty - forgetting the Festival is co-sponsored by Three - I couldn't believe my eyes as my speedtest went to over 400Mbps.. seriously. Sitting in a field getting over 400Mbps!

But I am genuinely surprised at the number of places I get 5G now
