Motorhome WiFi - Tesco pay monthly sim issues

Good news. Tesco SIM is now working in the MIFI after I changed the settings to those mentioned in post #2. Thanks RedFrame.

Does anyone have Tesco pay monthly (mine is unlimited) in a Huawei E5795, and does it work reliably?

Can't get mine to connect after one solitary night use when OK. And yes there is a fair signal.

Have input necessary tesco apn settings but system hangs on connection or occasionally says contact service provider - half hour phone call got me nowhere.

Have you checked if there are any text messages in the MiFi? You might find a warning about use in a router if the sim is a phone only one.

I'd been using the SIM in my phone for 6 months before putting it in the mifi today. No messages on the mifi, it's a 60gb pay monthly SIM. Currently streaming on two tablets and firestick on TV, all working fine.

No idea now, tesco sim long since confined to the bin as they allowed cancellation under the 14day cooling off rule. Fundamentally it just was not going to work in the Huawei router despite having all the correct settings.

Now using the Smarty sim and that is fine.

There appears to be some hidden fair use policy tesco people don't know about that means can only be used in a phone or tablet not the router device?

I have no idea if the Huawei E5795 I have, which came with a 5G ready roof aerial thingy was supposed to be a Mifi or mobile router. All I know is it didn't work with the Tesco unlimited network., tried in multiple locations, but the phone based sim was fine
