Autocruise Starspiri
Hi,
What would be the best place/method of getting a valuation of a motorhome for a private sale?
The motorhome is a Autocruise Starspirit 2004, it has a few extras and an MOT and service history.
I have looked on Auto Trader and eBay, but they are all dealer sales.
Also looking for advice on the best place to sell privately.
Thanks.

Thanks for the reply, used the search using the term "valuation" most were for insurance and for people buying, unless I'm missing something, rarely use forums, so all new to me.

Get two or three dealer bids and add a markup to start.

Or save the hassle and sell to best offer.

Or let one of the agency reps sell it on commission.

No prob. I searched with the term 'Selling+a+motorhome' and only gave you the link as it contains threads that will give you some background info and an insight into the options.

Excuse my newness, but how would I do this and what dealers, motorhome sales?
Details from advertisers on eBay, Autotrader and those found by Googling for their websites.
Any reputable agency reps?
As in the posts in the link I gave you...........motorhomedepot.com is one.
You don't say where you are but here's their website ........

No offence to the the OP but I don't think a 2004 m/home is within his market.

Thanks, I have looked at those ads, looks like they are all dealer prices, which of course attracts a "premium".
With regards to Motorhome Depot, I think I saw a post on here from someone who has used them and their fee was £2k, does that sound correct?
I am located in the North of Scotland.

I believe their commission will relate to the sales value of the m/home.

Your location may limit your market and suppress the price obtainable.

I think your ability to post has expired as a free member otherwise I'd suggest you put up photos and some more detail which would facilitate giving you a rough guide to its value.

Depends on the value of the motorhome and what you are willing to deal.
Mine was 2k on a 2 year old autotrail imala
