Do these exist?

Any ideas of who ( Motorhome Sellers? ) provide?

Do you need to take your own vehicle?

Thanks
Dave

I suspect most HGV / LGV training will offer something.
After all its just like driving a big van and new post 1997 drivers need to take extra test / training to drive over 3500kg. (y)

Both clubs do short courses.

Or if you're more after a driving instructor try googling for C1 training locally. They are used to training ambulance drivers etc.

Do you mean for driving or operating the motorhome?

If it's for driving the motorhome, I can recommend RoadSafe Wales, based at Pembrey, South Wales.
My wife did a course with them earlier in the year, had never driven a motorhome before and was confidently driving the country lanes around Pembrey/Burry Port by the end of the day.
I sat in on the course as it was the same price for both of us and learnt plenty as well.

Years ago I did one at our local HGV training place. Couldn’t recommend it enough. Used our MH both on the disused aero drome and then around the local housing estate. Instructor was very supportive.

I used this firm recently for my partner who had never driven the van (been driving a car for 50 years ), She in now competent in van driving and passed the course no problem and this took in the narrow country roads around Cheshire and also the towns. She then did a motorway run Manchester to Southport and back and she coped very well with that . As the other poster you would need your own van.

The Camping and Caravan club have just opened training course bookings for 2024. Have booked Anita in for a day course (£175) in March. Courses are run in Coventry.
