We figured European travel was going to present complications this year (and so it transpired) so we booked a seasonal pitch at a lovely campsite in Brixham to ensure we could holiday in a place we like at a price we could afford. This is not something we ever thought we would do but it’s been a great experience. The seasonal pitches are mostly occupied by long caravans but there were a few motorhomes as well. Surprisingly some of the owners were Brixham residents but perhaps didn’t have sufficient home parking for their vehicles, others just liked the campsite. There is a good sense of community with occasional get togethers, plus we have received invitations to birthday parties, an invitation to lunch at the yacht club, we were welcomed at the rugby club which had live bands on the weekends when the weather allowed.Believe it or not, might do that AS WELL
So all in all quite a pleasant eye opener which has changed our perceived impressions, we are back at home now for various reasons but looking forward to our return in September, and perhaps an option when the time for motorhoming has passed.
