We've got a 2000 (X) Romahome Duo on a 1.9d Citroen Berlingo.
The tax has just come through at £320!!!!!!!.........and yet looking for our future van, I found a dealer add for a 2004 Burstner i681 on a 2.8TD Ducato which stated road tax of £165?
I really dont understand that?

The Burstner will be over 3,500kg so in the cheaper category, any MH up to 3500kg is a lot more as you've found out.

It’s quite odd really, the heavier it is the cheaper it gets

Another thing to check.. what is it classed as on the V5 ?

my Timberland PVC was classed as a Panel Van on the V5 ..not only more VED, but also more expensive on the QE2 bridge toll and maybe other places like car parks..

Have sent the V5 back for it to be changed to Motor Caravan
