Motorhome Mirror Arms

Good afternoon
I have just installed a pair of wingmirror protectors. They look very smart, however this now shows up the mirror arms. Can they be painted or treated in some way to restore the color and if possible the finish?

Can you take a picture so Funsters can see what you mean? What are the arms made of and what is the existing coating?

I too have wing mirror protectors. They are same colour as the mount and arm, so I don't think that I have the issue that you refer to.

Hi Thanks DDJC, pics attached. I've been attacking them with WD40 and they are looking darker, but still shabby. Glad to hear people's thoughts.
