Looking online I can’t see much with regard to length restriction for aires in France. I’d be grateful for advice with regard to what length it begins to become a problem with parking in Aires

We have parked when we had 8.6m. Longer vans do use them. Large Concordes and Morellos. Some sites are compact and bijou so just find another. CCP aires can accommodate most sizes. Unless your van is maximum legal length I don’t think you will have a problem.

I think anything over 7.5m or 8m you have to read the reviews and description a little more carefully but we are travelling with 8.7m and really no problem, if a description says 7.5m max I don't bother trying but these are few and far between.

On S4S the length restrictions are frequently rubbish. Ive been on plenty with spurious restrictions and even seen RVs onnthem

I only ever use Campercontact or more latterly CampingCar Parks which are usually good size wise.

You can alter any site details which are incorrect, often prices are several years old, places alter etc. I try to correct any which are very out of date where things have altered.
I generally look on google maps and street view prior to traveling to a site , just to check it can accommodate my motorhome and trailer - I've been to quite a few (aires included) capable of taking my 6.6mtr van and 5.5mtr trailer.

Really how?
I was on one 2 weeks ago in Morocco with 8m in red across the listing and there was a Phoenix that was well over 10m and a huge access.

In the app, select the site you want to alter and tap the paper/pen icon - middle top of the screen, this opens up the 'edit site' options - see example below

if using the website, select the site you want to edit, then select the blue 'Edit' box on the right, part way down the listing

I always edit if something is wrong even coordinates price etc, also review so it's up to date. Just click the pencil icon.

The CCP app does show whether it allows MHs longer than 9m, and whether trailers are admitted. (Not that German motorhomers on the one at Brassac les Mines last October took any notice!)
