Or are you hoping that a Funster will rent-out their ‘van to your friend…….??? o_O

I doubt if you will find a hire van with a towbar.
Also most hire vans are 3500kg so that rules out putting the motorbike in the garage.

could he travel to Belgium in his car/trailer and rent a motorhome when he gets there?

Our friends hired a motorhome with a towbar and trailered their race car all the way to Angoulême in France, so it is possible.

nodigdigger They hired from a company near Milton Keynes, I think it was this one https://findit.miltonkeynes.co.uk/company/499486766350336

Not sure if the company above are still going, it might need a bit of research and leg work from your friend but there should be a motorhome out there that would suit his needs. Unfortunately the Sussex link above is for UK holidays only.

Hi I would not myself but i have known some in our area rent motorhomes from the private owners, not for me i must say but each to there own, I would take his race bike for him so he could just hire a motohome but i'm taking 4 race bikes myself running at almost max GTW for our motorhome and trailer.

Off topic But on Tuesday on the way to Murcia city a reasonably new , under 18 months , A class passed me .Obviously a hire van ,spanish plates, as signed as such.
On bonnet ,both sides & rear it had 50cm x 40cm " Tunisia Desert Rally" competitors stickers:oops:
If it was actually hired, The damage that i could see was long past the deposit stage & probably in to credit card 5 figures territory

Apart from rental companies I believe Comfort Insurance have a register of motorhome owners who have insurance cover with them that includes renting their motorhomes to others. Whether that would cover trips outside of the UK I don't know but it might be worth enquiring?
