I am in the process of looking for a new motorhome and I have come across a number of sites that appear to be caravan/motorhome dealers. I am looking for everyone's views on who is trustworthy (are there any) and who to avoid. One site that I have been looking on is Fortek UK (fortek.uk.com), has anyone any experience with this company?

What CAB96 said

I've looked on their website and can't figure out what their business is or it's MO
They seem to have some very cheap motorhomes and mostly older models.
So are they dealers / brokers / scammers, I've no idea but I'd proceed with caution
I wonder if Janine has heard of them ?

I've just looked on their website and looked at a Galaxy and I know I've seen the exact same van advertised on Ebay about 6 months ago and I know it's the same because you just see the nearside front corner of a commer van so I would give them a massive wide berth

Subscribers  do not see these advertisements

Thanks everyone for your help. Looks like it's back to my searching. I really like the look of the Autotrail Delaware which is how I found this forum and a thread on how their build quality etc. was. Anyway, as a complete novice does anyone have any recommendations on what alternatives there are to the Delaware (I would like either an island or fixed single beds similar to the Delaware S and more importantly where not to buy from. I am based in the North East of Scotland but I am willing to travel almost anywhere in the UK to view the right one. Thanks in advance, and I have just seen the message about introducing myself so I will pop in and do so!

:HelloThere:w2f

We've got a 2013 AT Savannah which was, at that time, the single bed version of the Delaware (fixed queen size). This was was subsequently dropped in favour of the Delaware S name.

As you are currently a "free member" you will get 5 free posts and will then have to join as a fee paying member to continue. I think, and as most other Funsters will know I'm usually wrong, the current annual membership is £20. It will be the best £20 you'll spend in relation to motorhome purchase / ownership as it gives access to a huge wealth of knowledge, experience and support.

One initial benefit would be access to the MHF Dealer database (a downloadable Excel workbook) that contains a filterable list of over 400 UK motorhome dealers with GPS location, address, web address, telephone, etc, etc information.

There is also a buyers guide document that's very useful for the sourcing / purchase process.

Awra best with your search!(y)
