Hi Top
Exp
I'm a newbie
Hi all, I have a Autotrail Apache 700SE 2010. The white fibreglass has lost its white colour and there is a fair bit of mold on the roof. The gray, plastic grills at the front of the cab are also very faded so I would also like to restore the colour on these.

I have done a bit of research and have found that some people have used Farécla M3 and also Autogleam super resin polish to restore the colour on the fibreglass parts of the van. I'm a bit concerned that I may cause more damage then good so would like some advice on what products to use please.

Many thanks.

Meguiars rv49 followed by autoglym super resin for your gel coat restoration, mould on roof can be solved by cleaning with a good caravan/motorhome shampoo that has algae remover in it.

Thanks for your advice M-J. That also seems like a popular choice amongst the community.

Does anyone else have any products that they can suggest please?

Humac Superclean for the overall wash down. Wet&Forget for the roof. Vistal multi surface cleaner for the more stubborn areas.

Does wet and forget leave any funny stains on your roof lights assuming you just spray the entire roof?

I have spray and leave which is basically the same and always wondered if I could use it on the roof.

Just been out to check and the roof lights all look fine. Roof not green despite the endless rain. The Wet&Forget was applied some months ago though but I didn't notice anything at the time then either.

Been told this is the best stuff to use on the roof.
not tried it myself yet but someone across the road from me said it was the easiest stuff he had ever used.

Thanks for the advice. Funnily enough I used someone else's advice and have now used it on the MH roof with fantastic results. I would highly recommend using it, it's so easy to apply etc..

Has it been easy to apply and then what just leave it and the rain does the rest or just leave it

Yep exactly. I just spread it on the roof and then forgot about it. I checked a few weeks later and all the mould etc had all gone. Brilliant stuff! 🙂

I’ve not used Wet & Forget but have read a few times that if it’s left on your plastic windows it permanently stains them

As i say not from experience have I done this myself

I haven't noticed any discoloration on the paintwork but have only used it once so far. I wouldn't spay it on the windows.
