Morning Funsters, the wife has manage to get me to agree to have new carpets in the van, can you recommend anyone, target area Staffordshire. Thanks

How about finding carpet remnant, using the original carpets as patterns, cut to shape size and getting the edges bound, lot cheaper than buying replacements!
Exactly what we have done twice now, in different motorhomes.

Not near you , but we just went to a local carpet shop & took to original carpets with us as templates. Picked some hard wearing carpet which cost us £120 all in including whipping all edges. Took about 4 days to get them made.

Ditto did the same picked out the carpet I liked and left them my old ones a week later had posh new carpets for £100 and was only 10 miles away. did sell the caravan 3 months later and got a MOHO

Kustomsport.co.uk ask for your van make, model and year and supply specific carpets for your vehicle. I think they make the carpets for vans from the Autotrail factory.

I bought front cab carpet from Kustom sport. Checking rear carpets they were made by them so had perfect match👍

Your local carpet shop will be able to edge any carpet you chose .
Or do you want fitted carpets?

Hi.
Don't Larph.... Carpet squares.. New to us dog, been sick on the way back from the rescue centre,so. Out came the fitted carpet, cleaned and stored, during the refurb of the house,we took up some " Carpet squares ". Fitted these into the m/ho. easy job , the cutting to fit was a doddle. Time passed,a one off "dog travel sick pill " got us onto the first site en familia to a site 46 miles away. To this day we do not know if the discovery by " Mira " the dog that it had a magic cupboard ie Fridge cured the travel whatsit or...the pill :ROFLMAO:
I would have kept the Carpet squares in,they did not move and were easy to hoover/clean. Trail boss " Jennifer " said NO....Again.

We had new carpets made from a stall in Leek Saturday market. Very reasonably priced, well made and quite quick too. Think they are called The Rug Stall. We took our old carpets for them to use as a pattern. Well recommended

The carpet remnant we got-2015-is still going strong, and is a lot thicker than the original carpets plus we had the size and shape we wanted.

I was given some advice regarding what type of carpet to use by the lady who edged ours. By all accounts you should use felt back carpet as other types of carpet can scratch the floor of your motorhome. I can’t say if that is 100% accurate but I can confirm the felt back we used didn’t damage our floor. Interestingly the felt back tends to be the cheapest you can buy off a roll.
