I've been following the results for the Scottish Six Day Trial and at the moment after five days Dougy Lampkin hasn't dropped a single point all week, looking like he's going to get his 11th event win- incredible
Definitely something in the Lampkin blood.

Must be getting too easy!

Yes, if I remember right he rode it last year as well.

Nice chap aswell, met him a few times when he was younger and I observed the British Rounds.
Him and Steve Saunders about the most pleasant blokes.
He is riding the Vertigo I did look at these when I was looking for a new bike but a mate from the trials club said they are having a few issues still, if you have a look at the titanium one they do a lot of money but looks "the dogs".

Yes very nice looking and only 69 Kg o_O

69kg and I think therein lies the reason for the "clean". Compare that to Jackson's one dab in the sixties when bikes weighed in the region of twice that. Still a very creditable run of victories though for Lampkin.

65KG for the Titanium.

Yep very nice bloke very approachable along with many of the trials boys.

I went to school with Steve Saunders and used to buy his used tyres and kit.
Didn't make me ride any better though :D

I think you could give these guys a Honda 90 and they would still do well :D

Well Dougy Lampkin won his 11th SSDT and best over 40 rider, but he didn't stay clean for the whole six days, he dropped 1 point on section 8 of the final day equalling the lowest score set in 1961 by Gordon Jackson.
Dougies cousin James Lampkin won overall in the 201-250 class.
What a family.

Don't know if Steves dad is still alive? Lovely chap I did a training day and he was very chatty when we had a break, made tea for us, it was where his dad was the caretaker of a private school I think.
