Motor home Radio / Sat Nav head units.

Hello All .
Some advice and recommendations needed please.
I currently have a Xzent X-F270 head unit fitted in my 2021 Ducato . firstly the display keeps fogging up with condensation ( has anyone else had this problem ?) and secondly the unit is slow to use and not particularly good on the sat Nav .
As the cab is now out of warranty has anybody got any good recommendations please of a good unit to replace the Xzent . Ideally it will have Apple play . I am not sure which units other manufacturers fit in the Ducato . My Motorhome is from the Autotrail Frontier range. The head unit they fit in this range is suppose to be all singing and dancing however I am really not that impressed . Any assistance or advice would be greatly appreciated . Thank you

Depends what you want to spend really

Pioneer SPH-DA360DAB is around £400
Its a good unit with wireless Apple Car Play so you can just use Google Maps.


Or you could fit the camper specific Pioneer HUs

Pioneer AVIC-Z1000D35-C which is a camper/motorhome specific unit at around £1200

I have the AVIC-Z830DAB-C and it's fine, some people don't like the software but it's all i have ever used in any of my vehicles.

Fitting kits are easily obtainable online or your local Halfrauds.

Pioneer Avic - Z10000D35-C is fine so long as you have access to Windows for map software updates. They don’t support Apple, which, had I have realised beforehand, would have compelled me to have chosen the Alpine or Kenwood alternative.

I’ve got a JVC KW-M565DBT which has DAB, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It doesn’t have built in satnav but I use Waze or Google maps. It is available for about £275.

My unit is also fogging up , apparently a problem with some units mine is only six months old , concession has sent details to pioneer and advised that expect unit to be changed , waiting on new unit.
