If you get really stuck, have a word with some of the local Coach companies, see where they get their coaches repaired etc.

We had awful trouble last year getting our Autosleeper Broadway through the MOT, so a word of warning. Our van had been sitting unused for a few months up to late September when the MOT was due. Like a fool I drove the van (cold) straight to the MOT centre, and it failed (spectacularly) on particulate emissions. I asked our garage to help (help !) and they said (a) add a load of fuel additives, and (b) drive it really hard for a long time before the MOT. And then always buy the special high-additive 'super' diesel. This worked, and this year we sailed through the MOT no problem.

Been putting bikes, cars and vans in for MOTs for the last fifty years. Still makes me nervous.
Yes, it's an odd feeling. I have a 4 year old Tesla which had its MOT yesterday and I still found myself getting a little bit anxious when going to pick it up, and breathed a sigh of relief when he said it had passed, exactly as I did last year.
