MOT status

I'm confused, MOT expires 25th April, took it in on Wednesday and it failed on handbrake travel (Peugeot boxer coachbuilt), yet when I look up MOT status, it shows MOT till 25th. So is it legal to drive ?

It was sent offsite for MOT due to size.

What a pain to adjust, instructions are easy enough till you get to the final cable adjustment "handbrake to notch 6 and a torque setting of 15nM on the adjusting rod nut" brakes binding, slackened off 2 flats and no binding.
Just got to wait till Tuesday for retest.

You will pay tax from 1st of month anyway

The idea was that I would not on 29th, and just wait until 1st May a couple of days later, only about £11pm so not a big deal.

No , they carry goods and passengers , different liabilities, different level of testing etc .

Same reason taxi's have a different mot than standard plg etc

Different tests, (some taxis don't even have to have MOT, just a Designated Council Exemption Certificate ) but same strict rules about movement, IF it fails!

By the way, earlier there was talk about it still having an MOT so could be driven.

A vehicle that has been totally written off in an accident, will probably still have a valid MOT until it expires but I doubt if anyome would want to drive it?
