Now that I’m trying to get an Irish passport and won’t be subject to the normal 90 days out then in. Still have to bring the van back to the uk for mot once a year though, anyone got a tip for a good mot garage near a uk ferry port?

If you’re going to Portsmouth then R & D Autos are very good. In Chichester about 20 mins from port.

Hmm good for MOT but if you need work done to fix anything watch out. They charge £160ph labour. They were good enough to warn me though.

Do you mean any channel port?
I've used Mr MOT at Burgess Hill, 45 mins from Newhaven for more than 10 years for the car, m/h and motorbikes.
They don't do repairs but just MOT's are are sensible and reasonable people.
