We're off to Morocco mid-December (for the first time in a van), travelling in a 5.4m panel van and will already have insurance If someone could tell me if I have the following info correct (gleaned from various threads) I'd be very grateful.

1.
Best way to travel is from Algeciras Port, Spain to Tanger Med, Morocco and use Carlos (Viajas Normandie) - who is found just off the motorway at j112 A7, next to Carrefour - GPS 36.17945, -5.44125

2.
Just turn up. The ticket will be for the same day or next, two way, open return - with Funster discount.

3.
He accepts credit cards.

4.
He seels Dirhams (at a price!) and Maroc SIMS (or is it better to get a SIM at one of the towns?).

5.
Paperwork happens on the ferry.

6.
All timing is approximately approximate!

This and any other info gratefully received!

1 correct
2 ticket is open so use when ever you want,
3 correct
4 yes for dirams not sure about SIM card
5 correct
6 very much correct 😁
Plenty of overnight parking near Carlos and obviously shopping for food/ alcohol, get your fuel in Morocco as it’s cheaper, you will need some Diram for the motorway but it’s cheap,

I wouldnt worry too much about dirhams from Carlos, exchange booths as soon as you get through customs. Could well be atms by now, 2 years since we last went and Morocco is moving on fast.

For vans less than 6m it's cheaper to but tickets at the algeceras port as Carlos tickets are all one price no matter what size your van is. Carlos is easierv though

Yes, we're 5.4m, so I think I'll try the port first. Unfortunately my wife has fractured her wrist, so things are going to be delayed 🙁
