'We Do Like To Be Beside The Sea' festival - Morecambe

Including RAF Battle of Britain aircraft displays and the Bradford to Morecambe Historic Vehicle Rally


Come and join us in Morecambe for its annual celebration of the seaside!

"Morecambe’s Annual Celebration of the Seaside starts on Friday evening 11 September with a "last night of the Proms" concert. Celebrations continue on Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 September.
Following its successful relaunch, Morecambe’s 2009 'We Do Like To Be Beside The Sea' will again recreate the period atmosphere and seaside entertainments, enjoyed by millions in the resort’s heyday.
Regular features, such as RAF Battle of Britain aircraft displays and the Bradford to Morecambe Historic Vehicle Rally, will be complemented by a packed programme of traditional seaside fun & frolics, music and daredevil antics"

8 x hardstanding large pitches suitable for RV's @ £18 per night (1 unit & 2 adults)
10 amp EHU and grey waste drain.

10+ hardstanding regular size pitches @ £12 per night (1 unit & 2 adults)

Central Morecambe is about 5 miles from the campsite and there are regular bus services on the road just outside the campsite.

If you want to join us please book directly with the site on
01524 732854. There is a £15 deposit payable.

Make sure you mention that you are with
'MOTORHOMEFUN' and give them your username as well.

If you then post in this thread that you have booked we will add you to the list :thumb:

Absolutely fine by us :BigGrin: but why not come and camp and enjoy the fact you won't need to go home (A.K.A can have a few beers)?
 
Last time I was in Morecambe it was closed due to lack of attendance

This isn't a joke - SAGA used to have annual trips to Morecambe but stopped going because the members found it too boring :BigGrin:

I think I've got the key somewhere, I'm sure I saw it in the kitchen drawer when I was looking for the radiator bleed key.

I spent 2 seasons in morecambe gigging at the regents caravan parks.....................ya got to admit................they got a great sunday meerkat :Wink:

I quite liked the place apart from the huge Itinerant community. :thumb:

A very friendly lady on tel ... mentioned that there are lovely sea views where the m/h's are placed ....yippee

If the haganap's (Paul + Nikki) can magic up some more sunshine :Cool::Cool: again for this event and not the rain we had at Stratford please, we would appreciate it :Rofl1::Rofl1::Rofl1:

Just tried to book but told that it is full as they only have 7 motorhome pitches :cry::cry:

I said that i was with motorhomefun bit still only 7 pitches which are full.
