Since 2015, still learning
Afternoon all.
Those with the above sensor for their lpg, how long do you get from the battery? I have changed my update rate to 10.5 sec, which I understand is the longest period on the standard sensor, but it seems to be eating the battery. If doe how regularly I open the app affect the life? I wouldn’t have expected it to 🤔

TIA Cush

I think that your problem is likely to be the brand of CR2032 cell you are using.
I was finding that along with my Mopeka sensors, my Sonoff window contact sensors were having a pathetic battery life when using the top named brands that you would expect to have a long life.
After watching a few coin cell test videos on Youtube, I bought and I'm now using Toshiba CR2032 cell and I'm getting 18 months to two years of battery life with my Mopeka sensors now.

Well over a year. On Panasonic cells.

Similar here, 1.5 years ish on Duracell.

Thank you all. Will look for better quality cell.

I modified ours to take 2 CR2032 in parallel in a external battery holder now lasts over year and very easy to change the batteries.

After always having battery issues I converted mine to a remote battery carrier as pictured below, no longer have to remove cylinders to change batteries, I just soldered wires onto original cr2030 batteries & run them back to the remote unit which I have on a magnetic strip stuck to the cylinders, total cost £7 , no more problems changing batteries if I need to & will last forever , 225MA versus 2000MA almost lasts 10 times longer , workers a treat 😃

That seems like a real good idea as the button battery only does a year at best and it’s a pain to remove the bottles on our Carthargo

About year and a half battery life for me……like the idea of remote battery carrier to save taking cylinders out….another job I didn’t even know I had to do!

I was a bit concerned I would find it difficult to solder wires to the battery but it was no problem, I have 2 cylinders , they are connected to the battery pack with JST connectors
pictured below making it easy install & disconnect
