Looking at getting 2 x of these for my twin Gaslow set up but can anyone tell me what the difference is between the grey one and the black one is?

TA Steve

I believe that the grey round Mopeka Pro sensor/sender is for gas level and the black round Mopeka Pro is for fresh/waste water levels

Update,

I purchased a Mopeka Pro (grey) for one of my gas cylinders then purchased one online. However when it arrived it is a Mopeka Pro black colour (add showed grey colour). When I questioned this, they said it was the latest one that does both gas and water?

Does anyone know if this is right? Or is I been fobbed off? Tried looking online but cannot make out which is right or wrong!

Seems like the black one is universal

Would you recommend Mopeka over Gaslow Wave?

I have a Mopeka Pro on our underslung gas tank, and one each on our fresh and grey waste tanks, and find them to be very to be accurate and reliable. I also have them integrated into our Victron system for a read out of the levels.

Do you have a Victron Cerbo GX to link your system readouts?

I use a Rasperry Pi with a 7" touch screen and also the VRM on my phone.
The Mopeka's are Bluetooth and are connected using the Venus Bluetooth I/O menu

Did you procure from LPG Shop ?

Does anyone know if anything works yet with Safefill 11kg bottles?

None of the ultrasonic sensor based solutions work with composite bottles but something that measures the mass of the bottle will work. Example

I might get one for our underslung gas tank, is it an easy fit?

The Mopeka sensor has a magnetic base which will hold it to the tank. The phone app for the sensor has an alignment menu to get the optimum position to mount the sensor.
I made a thin aluminium strap to hold the sensor in place just in case, and to give it some protection from road muck.
The photo is of the trial fitting of the strap, which is now painted black and held in place with a self tapping screw.

Have you used one?
I’ve got one. It’s not perfect but it does give an indication of how much gas is left. As it relies on weight, I’d advise loosening the strap holding the cylinder a little when stationary. If your cylinder fits in a holder at the base it may interfere with the scales. Mine just sits on a flat base which is ideal.

Hi Everyone. Can someone help me. I emailed LPG shop to ask which sensor to order for an underslung tank and they replied none of the Mopeka are suitable  yet it seems on here many have them. Can someone give me a model number perhaps. Thanks in advance.

I'm using the round grey Mopeka Pro LPG on my underslung tank and it has been working perfectly and accurately since fitting it a couple of years ago.
You can see earlier in this thread that I have mine mounted on our underslung.

Hi Paul

Thanks for that. i have the mopeka on my fresh water and it’s great but thats a flat bottom tank. How did you get pst the curve of the cylinder as I can’t see in the photo. Mind you yours looks a lot less cylindrical than mine if that makes sense.
Thanks
Paul

We are in New Zealand at present, but when we get home in a few days I'll take some photos of my setup and how I have mounted mine.
