Dropped in on @JJ today and was treated to this moon rising through the trees tonight

... if its a full moon I'd make sure all your doors and windows are locked and do NOT under any circumstances let JJ in to your MH no matter how much he 'howls'!!! :D2

That grass looks nicely cut.

Would get a chainsaw to them trees, spoils the view:)

Have you visited JJ ?

It appears that my new mate Mr bigtree is not familiar with the "Image Rights" at QMJ.

Whilst the shiny, round thingy can be photographed by anyone, those (badly burnt) trees are owned by the QMJ people, who hold the image rights, and photos of them cannot be published without written consent.

I will be contacting my legal people tomorrow to see what action needs to be taken.

No ... not had the official invite, mind you I suspect that the 'price' of admission will be prohibitive anyway ... there are only so many FB pies I can fit in the camper! :D

I take the FB pies out of the tins and put them under my jacks to spread the ground loading. Just like a piece of concrete.:)

Just leave them in the tins, waste of time opening them. :)

Did you get a tree specialist in to prune that olive tree JJ? Looks like a proper professional job.

Lovely photo. So lovely to see grass down there now.

Ain’t nature wonderful.

A very welcome visitor... obeyed all the rules and even volunteered to mow the grass... ;)

(I didn't allow it.)

A fine should be imposed 2x pies.

I got a invite but not in the area at the same time.

Information for new Funsters re Quinta Majay.

Having fallen in love with Portugal several years ago I bought a very small orchard that is located in the middle of a forest (now burnt down) in Central Portugal. I call it Quinta Majay (QMJ).

Now retired and getting older every day, I spend a lot of time parked here, pottering around and talking to myself.

I use the land as my gym... I try to gain a bit of fitness (very limited success) by "working" on "projects" like grass cutting, tree pruning, wood chopping, stone moving (onto the bumpy track), well deepening (when empty of course), tree stump digging out, lettuce and tomato growing etc... but mostly I just sit around day dreaming...

I totally LOVE it here...

Funster friends occasionally do me the great honour of visiting. Often this is as they are on their way down to, or up from, the Algarve but...

QMJ is not an aire or campsite.

It is a very, very peaceful, quiet, private place with no facilities, quite unlike the prestigious Funster CL's at Old Mo's and Jim's (Jasmin Camping) which are packed with facilities desired by the modern day motorhomer.

If you are Funster motorhomers who pass the stringent vetting procedure and are likely to get on ok with me, you are very welcome to call in, providing you are able to follow the very long list of rules...

No smoking, no BBQ's (fire risk), no politics, no football or rugby talk, no religion, no country and western music, medical condition talk, no yapping dogs, no killing of insects or wild life (except mozzies and house flies) and definitely NO attempts to pay for staying here. (There are other rules but I keep forgetting them.)

...to be continued maybe...
