I am a Saga shareholder so I have given them the chance on a few quotes. Completely USELESS.Saga once refused to give me a quote because I had solar on the roof???
Don't remember them dishing out shares. But there again if it before yesterday that isn't a surprise.I am a Saga shareholder so I have given them the chance on a few quotes. Completely USELESS.
Only have the shares as they were free a long time ago.
I think you are supposed to tell them, doubtless there will be something in the small print somewhere that makes it your fault not theirs. If they don't ask when you take out your insurance, how do they know it wasn't already on the van?
I think that was NFU, either professionally fitted or inspected by engineer required.Someone posted about their insurance company insisting that solar panels must be professionally fitted. I can only guess that they had a claim for damage done by one falling off on the move. Always best to tell them, less wiggle room if something goes wrong.
I am with NFU and never ever been asked if it has solar panels or gas bottles or anything really other than would be asked for a normal van.I think that was NFU, either professionally fitted or inspected by engineer required.
Having seen some professional installations, they ain't coming near my van.
And saying that I have never witheld anything I have been asked either.I am with NFU and never ever been asked if it has solar panels or gas bottles or anything really other than would be asked for a normal van.
They don’t have to ask, you have to tell them. Each year NFU send a Statement of Car Insurance on which any modifications will be listed. They tell you to check the statement and that a failure to disclose accurate information may invalidate the insurance. And saying that I have never witheld anything I have been asked either.
We declared ours, as they said solar is a modification, as would be a tow bar, neither of which increased ours, but I suppose it depends on your insurer.hi, sorry if this has been asked before but a lot of owners seem to fit extras to there vans. now if you fit off grid electrics for instance(solar panels and stuff that goes with it) does that load your insurance premiums if so roughly how much
Here many companies insist on photo's ,even for a normal car, when swopping companies. I had to supply front ,back ,either side ,roof ,underneath, inside with side & rear doors open ,inside roof,etc.etc.They don’t have to ask, you have to tell them.
