Hi 👋🏻 newbies

Can anyone recommend the best mobile Wi-Fi router for European travel and for data usage ……. And network.

Thanks in advance 😊

As a router you can’t go wrong with the HUAWEI 5577 but what SIM card you put in it is not easy to say as it depends on your usage.

As I always say on these threads - my 'router' is a cheap old mobile phone. Fit data SIM, turn on hotspot. Never had any problems for streaming TV etc on the road. Another advantage - you can take it to the beach or wherever with you.

SIM card. - There are loads out there with good deals and no contracts so you can stop/start when needed. . Lebara, RWG, smarty, ID, popit. Which deal you go for depends how much data you think you will need. RWG have the best data allowances for Abroad at the moment.

Abroad travel I tend to buy a data SIM where I am as they're cheaper than UK ones and there are no roaming limits like you will get on most UK Sims.

We are planning on travelling through France into Spain and back so could do with a data plan that does those two nicely.

I use a Huawei B535 which works well, in EU I use RWG 200gb mobile sim in it, this is going to be limited to 100gb in EU but saves having local sim and vpn
