Are they worth it? Which is the best, Mirrorguard or Milenco.

We have mirrorguards , tested the nearside today at the peage ....all good! 😁

👍 for Mirror-guards, saves a big expense if you get a hit.

We have mirror-guards. Worth every penny. Took a hit at 30 mph and not a scratch.

+ 1 for mirror-guards and any scratches can be polished out.

Yes a must have in my opinion, and Mirrorgaurds are the ones to go for!

Thanks everyone one, just placed an order with Mirrorguard!

Yes, Fiat Ducato camper 2….white van man 0. Both times they were on my side of the road(according to my dash cam).
I just shrugged my shoulders, and carried on my way 👍

Can someone help me ,, I've a Elddis 155 on a boxer , do I have long arm mirrors or does it not matter

Cheers , sorry for the daft question

We have had them on both our vans, but the ones on our second van which is an identical van have been a great disappointment. They never seemed to fit properly right from the start and yes I did do it it properly as per instructions and the first pair were fine. In fact one came off, not when either of us were driving it fortunately. Wouldn’t buy again.

We were not impressed by Mirrorguards - one did not protect a mirror as expected on our first van - and we were even less impressed by their “service” when we tried to replace a single guard. Promises were not kept, and it ended up as a recharge via credit card company. I certainly wouldn’t buy anything from them again.
We do have a pair of Mirrorguards on the current van, but only because we got them secondhand at a very good price. In between we used the guards from Van Comfort, which worked very well.

We have the (cheaper) Milenco mirror guards.
They fit well and look good, but so far (thankfully) have never been tested.

I’m probably a bit of a numpty but I’ve looked and searched and can’t find any protectors that would fit my mirrors (Hymer 2007). I may well be using the wrong search terms but if anyone knows where I can get a pair I would be extremely grateful…especially after smashing my near side mirror last year.

We had some protectors from Mirror Armour on our A-Class Rapido - they were the only place we found that did ones to fit an A-Class. Very tough (saved our mirrors a couple of times on narrow country lanes in Cornwall a couple of years ago) and look like they're made of the same kind of material/thickness as the Mirror Guards we had on our coachbuilt. They do several different models - you may need to talk to them to find out if any will fit yours.

Haven’t tested mine in battle yet, but I have the same problem with one of them detaching. It was particularly bad in France last year when the temperature hit the high 30s and glue on the 3m adhesive pads started to melt. I always carry a set of replacement mirror glasses just in case.

My mirror guards went for a walk one night never to be seen again......

Very much worth it. our off side mirror was hit by the trailer on a tractor (we'd stopped and pulled over to let him through), the mirror and arm survived or it would have been an expensive repair. The tractor didn't stop but I have it on dash cam. As no damage apart from cosmetic on the guard we didn't report anything - perhaps we should have done.

That was another "cut short" trip due to a crisis at my parents :(

Thanks for the reply, I had a look on their site and they have a pair that look like they will fit so I have just emailed them for confirmation 👍

Had mirrorguards on my Elddis. More substantial than Milencos but never used them in combat. The world and his wife keeps having a go at my Carthago ones even though they are up a bit out of the way of white van man. I'll have a look at the link above.

Thanks , been searching for some for our motor home ( unsuccessfully until reading your post ) 😃

I have a pair fitted by Marquis but don’t know the make. As they got very dirty I removed them to give them a good clean, but on replacement they cracked. Maybe got brittle over a few years or just cheap and nasty. They also charged £20 quid for a five minute job of fitting them. So Mirrorguard here we come but I will fit them.

Hi does anybody know what mirror guards fits my 2004 bessacar e745
