Mileage Bands when insuring

They take an average and or if there is more than 2 MOT's and you have a bang they will work it out ,
An average of previous years is not indicative of current annual mileage. I’m sure if I can understand how averages work, so can insurance companies as can the ombudsman.

For example:
  • Year 1 - mileage 1,000 miles
  • Year 2 - mileage 20,000 miles
Average = 10,500 miles
  • Year 3 - anybody’s guess
insurance companies are not a charity

Nor are they at liberty to fabricate ‘facts’.
