Might be of interest to anyone converting a van but especially Crafters and MAN's

Hi GMLS.
Did you get your van?
Bothe the same vehicles, just different badges as I’m sure you’ll know….I do like the MAN front grill more than the VW, but it’s only aesthetical.
Here’s the inside of my creation.

A Sprinter a better option. A better option for what?
At the time of looking the Crafter came up. I didn’t want a Sprinter in particular, as having had VWs in the family over the years always found them to be of high quality, (MB’s too), but opted for VW.

Looks great.I've spec'd up a new MAN ready to place an order end January if I don't get a date for the new motorhome by then.I can place an order without a deposit if I don't order with factory fitted windows but still a 6 months wait so also on the list for a call if there are any cancellations.Working up a budget and looking into a dropdown bed over a rear lounge or wc across the back with dropdown bed above front lounge

Excellent to hear that….the wait is the pain.
Are you converting it from scratch?

One of the things I found whilst doing the electrics was don’t underestimate the amount of circuits in such a small confined area. When doing mine, I numbered all the circuits with slip on number sleeves, both at “fuse box”, and at appliance end.
Each number is written down as to which circuit is which.

I did my crafter back in 2019. I posted in the self build area after I built it. I was not aware of this forum when we converted at the time so it wasn’t a build thread. The sprinter we was hunting at the time, could not find any with AC, the crafter came in at a good price just under 1year old. Did all the work from scratch, some bits added later.
