Michelin Agilis Camper tyre orientation

I’ve observed that my Michelin Agilis Camper tyres have been mounted at the factory with the age (DOT) markings on the inner side. A tyre fitter told me today that they should really be on the outer side, but as the tyres are not directional and there’s no obvious inner/outer indicator on the sidewalls then the current orientation is not to the detriment of the tyres. I assume that having the age markings on the outside is a convention that makes it easier to determine the age of the tyre, but wonder if anyone has thoughts to the contrary.

Utter bollocks….. as long as it’s fitted correctly in the right direction…

Why do these so called “professionals” throw their non existent knowledge around..

Funnily enough. I was looking at our tyres today. One date stamp on out side, rest on inside. No directional arrows.

Taking the tyre off the rim to read the inside of it seems like a lot of work

It would certainly make it easier if
a) Michelin put the dates on both sides or
b) the factory put the wheels on with the dates outside
Its not exactly hard is it
