Mercedes exhaust replacement

Driving home in September my large central exhaust box parted company with the front pipe
AA (courtesy of Nationwide Flexplus) patrol man wired it into place and it got me home. Last week it was replaced by my usual garage BUT they had to use a genuine Mercedes part: £250
I suppose it will be good value if it lasts 22 years like the original

our 2007 Sprinter lasted until 2010

Every time it went into Enza (now estar Trafford park) kept telling me it wasn't a Mercedes part (A Class Frankia).

So in the end, I went to my local Mercedes car garage and they provided me with a new one. But I had to fit it.
