Mercedes exhaust replacement

Driving home in September my large central exhaust box parted company with the front pipe ☹️
AA (courtesy of Nationwide Flexplus) patrol man wired it into place and it got me home. Last week it was replaced by my usual garage BUT they had to use a genuine Mercedes part: £250 😳
I suppose it will be good value if it lasts 22 years like the original 😉

our 2007 Sprinter lasted until 2010

Every time it went into Enza (now estar Trafford park) kept telling me it wasn't a Mercedes part (A Class Frankia).

So in the end, I went to my local Mercedes car garage and they provided me with a new one. But I had to fit it.
