Great club atmosphere with Bez from the Happy Mondays & his son

Not the best picture quality & the high winds had taken the Mello signs down but proper festival feel

For a tribute act Frankly Aretha was excellent

These are just a small sample of the acts at Mello - we were constantly moving between the three stages to find which one we liked the most - so much good music :Grin:Sadly can't get the video to load here but for us young band Sugar Mama stole the show (look young but so talented) & got the biggest audience response. Also enjoyed Altered Images with a lively performance by Claire Grogan.
Having the company of Funsters & RVOC members too made the whole experience even better so looking forward to Sunshine now & hoping we get the same weather.

This was general camping at the end

We all left the field as we found it (y)

Let's hope it all works out & we can sort a Meet for this one...

We were on a separate rally at Pinvin so enjoyed some of the music but not very much as we only really got the bass, which by turned midnight was getting a Bit Much. Plus the rockets didn't go high enough during the firework display at the end for us to enjoy properly - so it's to be hoped they can do better next year.

Took us a while before someone said they bet that's where it was coming from! LOL

Weather was a tad 'mixed' though - absolutely heaved down Monday afternoon - just in time for Pershore carnival parade - after a red hot Friday and Sunday.

@sedge Small world :hi: Think the music sounded much better in the field than what you heard - we had it bouncing back off the side of one of the RVs so it was like being in the arena :dance2:all weekend. The live music did all stop at midnight & the disco at exactly 1am & then quiet enough in our area to get a goods nights sleep. We were cooked on Friday (Pershore was meant to be the hottest place in the UK that day :whew:) then jumpers & coats on Saturday then shorts again on Sunday - it only started to rain on Monday as we left but didn't mind that after such a good weekend.

Weird thing is though - it was quite a lot warmer on Saturday night - from early evening all through the night - than the others.

The disco carried a LOT more than the bands - we did know there was music way over wherever - and wasn't at all unpleasant, but not anywhere near loud enough to enjoy, if you get me? but the disco sounded like it was in the field across the road! - and obviously someone making announcements (well speaking into a mike at any rate) but could neither hear the words nor the music which possibly may have accompanied the bang bang bang - I can't help but sincerely hope no-ones eardrums were directly in line with any of the speakers cos I reckon it used measure less decibels in the majority of drop forgers and weaving mills - both of which regularly caused major hearing damage.

Mello 2018 will be even bigger & better with a 4th stage! :dance2:
The organisers have agreed to offer Funsters a member discount price again (y) - will post more details once known.
As the new location is a country estate with free roaming deer & pheasants no dogs or pets are allowed.
If you might be interested in this festival for next year then please add your names on this thread :active: & I will message you once booking details are available.

As we missed this year's can you let us know dates when you have them for 2018 as we need to book early at work
Many thanks
Tara & Paul
