I have a maxiview crank up sat dish which has been great for the last six years. The problem I have now is that the wind up handle and the part you use to turn the dish has started to fall out of the bit that is fixed to roof. Started to do this when we are driving and unit is packed away. When you put it back feels solid cant see how it can fall out.

Only thought I had was that it started on way back from Italy where it had been hot .

Any ideas folks

Regards

Do as I did,

Contact Maxview direct .. complain bitterly about the poor quality and they will send a new winding mechanism , FOC

Thought about that Jim think I will. Do like it but some bits could be better.

Thanks

I'm not keen on Maxview but after 6 years of use you may be pushing a warranty or fit for purpose claim.

Totally agree,

I had a long running discussion with Maxview about the poor quality winder and locking mechanism.. In the end the MD paid me a visit to inspect the the installation but could find no fault.. Some time later it failed again and they sent another winder..

IMO .. It is a good dish let down by a poorly designed winder and lock.
