Mango tag location with overhang

Had a quick search but mostly finding results for A classes.
Off to France in a couple of months and first time since I got my Mango tag two years ago. Anyone experience of fixing location with a large over-cab overhang?
Some seem to suggest the tag readers are low-down and not overhead, so maybe to the right of the rear-view mirror position is still correct.

Mounted ours last year around the front blinds bottom rail.
was a temporary thing as changed van but worked a treat.

Ours is high up and works a treat but sometimes you can be close to the barrier before it gets picked up so in your case I would put it on the bottom of the windscreen.
