Well as I didn’t get on with Morocco I decided to catch the ferry over to Mallorca with the van. Unfortunately there are very few facilities for water and waste for motorhomes now on the island with taps removed and drains bolted shut and signs taken down! I had to ask at the leisure port in Alcudia and the port official said I could empty my toilet cassette in the one loo left unlocked as long as it wasn’t too much lol!!! Still not found public water but a taxi driver told me some repsol petrol stations have a tap available but not potable.
Some places are like ghost towns out of season as well tho!
The places that are open close early in the off season too! 😐
Weather has been ok although it was 3 degrees external temp this morning, climbing to 18 degrees and ive been walking about in a t-shirt much to the locals amusement.

Just 'cause it's an island doesn't mean you're not using your Schengen 90 days

What was the issue with Morocco? Does seem a bit marmite, personally it doesn't appeal.

How is Mallorca? Are there enough locations to park and things to do to keep you occupied, or are you just enjoying the winter sun?

Are there no campsites at all? Or maybe closed for off season?

No campsites at all for motorhomes! they put up with vans “parking” IF you don’t camp so no chairs or awnings out! No idea what it’s like in summer season. No facilities anywhere apart from PALMA which has fresh water grey and black dump. Struggling to get fresh water non potable for the van. My grey is 50% full and 50% fresh left. I buy 5l bottles of water at the supermarkets for tea and coffee it’s cheap enough. There’s plenty of nice places to park up tho 👍
I went to Cap Formentor today, lovely, but it’s not for the faint hearted, I have a fear of heights and I feared I would have a brown trousers moment on the way there let alone on the way back 🤣
I’m on the ferry to Barcelona on the 24th then hame for Hogmanay hopefully😁

Don’t care should have my own IRISH passport next year 😎

Morroco is a shithole full of beggars touts and thieves!

Just retired on Dec 9 so wanted to do a month in the sun. It’s not too bad during the day 18 degrees and t-shirt weather. Plenty of places to park but it’s off season so you struggle to find someplace to eat in the evenings and they close early too😐

Well I struggled to find somewhere to eat out again last night and ended up in an English owned restaurant eating English food. It was good by the way😁
Talking to the server about the lack of motorhome facilities he said the local govt did not want motor homes or campervans here as it’s a holiday resort!

I think Barclaybasher , who has a house there, has said before that there are few facilities for MH's on the island.

I first took a motorhome to Mallorca over 20 years ago and every year since 2011.

Only the odd van then, hundreds now but still no facilities. This might change but it might take some time.

Like everywhere, it seems, we are not liked when used as cheap accommodation.

The majority on the island are Spanish registered and I can only think most are used by locals to visit the mainland.

Most restaurants shut here in Port Soller the only one open is full! Cooking for myself again!
I’m heading for palma tomorrow for the only govt provided FREE water fill and grey and black empty facility on the island!!!
I’ll report back.
Then I’m off back to port pollensa tomorrow for fish and chip night at the Brit restaurant! Don’t worry I’m booked in 😎

Ok drove the 13 miles to Palma to re supply and the facilities supplied by the local council are bog standard(sorry about that) and FREE. It’s on a sort of industrial estate and is in the local recycling centre!
I saw lots of locals getting their credit cards out to dispose of rubbish and paint!!!!
There were 2 x security ladies at the reception, with big night sticks, who said they spoke English but when I started talking they both looked blank!!!! Soy Escosece! I said, they laughed and happily let me do my replen on the van!
Well done palma local govt for having this facility! You just need 3 more on the island so people don’t dump their waste in your beautiful countryside. 👍😁😎

I thought I had made my views clear on Benidorm!!!!!
Yes it was 13 miles for water and dump but what can you do if it’s the ONLY place?
The Islands only 45 miles across so nowhere’s that far away 🙄
