We’re had a leak from the first time we put water in the van, but it’s taken a while to identify what’s causing it, and longer to figure out how to get to the “works”.

The source of the leak seems to be where the water hoses connect to the shower tap. Whenever the water pump is running I assume it pressurises the whole system so the leaking water can appear from using a sink or the toilet flush.

Some of the leaking water ends up in the shower tray, some exits the van via the chassis! I don’t know what damage it may be causing en-route.

There’s a rectangular access panel under the washroom sink but I couldn’t figure out how to remove it - until I found six little sticky labels covering six screws. Well disguised, especially in a dark little cupboard.

Now I’m in there I don’t know how to fix the leak. I have tried to add a couple of photos to show what I am referring to. The last pic shows where the water pipes go into the bulkhead fitting for the shower tap. The pipes have fancy end fittings.

I don’t want to mess with anything as it ought to be a warranty repair, but I’m two months and 1500 miles away from the dealer.

It could be a Reich fitting like this. How do the pipes fit into the back of the fitting.

Is it leaking from where the pipes go into the white plastic moulded section? If so may be simplest just to fit a new Reich unit?

If its like my last van. pull the green tab where the pigtails enter the tap, pipes were just a push fit.

The black bit looks like a threaded hex nut connecting the tap to the back fitting. Mine is different, but I assume there must be some way of disconnecting the tap from the back.

I can also see the green locking pin. I assume this secures the pipes into the back of the unit. I cannot reach that without disconnecting the two halves of the unit.

I’m wondering if there’s frost damage to the white plastic housing for the pipes.

I assume a standard sink tap wrench may be the easiest to undo the hex nut to get the unit out? This sort of thing.

Mine does have a hex nut just like the pic of the whole unit, but I managed to remove the green locking pin in situ, pushed the hot water pipe in properly and reinserted the locking pin. All back together now, and no obvious sign of “forced” entry, or of leaking :)

think you will find they are push fit, if they ice up they can get pushed down. On the reich fitting there is a small metal locking pin inserted when the pipes are pushed fully home. Remove the pin make sure the pipes get pushed in ( you can feel a click whe. You do) then replace the pin

Shouldn’t need to replace anything just ensure they are seated correctly.
