How can you tell if the Union Flag is up the right way or not when there is no flagstaff ?A very talented guy but a shame he didn't pay attention to detail. The impression of the flag is upside down One of my OCD pet hates when it comes to our flag
The broad white stripe is should be upper left. Check Google for the correct way to fly the Union Flag. Also if the Union flag is depicted on an aircraft, the flag is always displayed with the broad white strip towards the front of the aircraft as it would be on a flag staff. How can you tell if the Union Flag is up the right way or not when there is no flagstaff ?

Only upper left if flagstaff is on the left ... Walk around the other side of the flag and then it will be upper right ?The broad white stripe is should be upper left.

Good luck to you if you can train the wind to always blow from your left !I believe you always view as if the staff is on the left
Even if the staff is horizontal
But the broad white strip is still next to the flag staff whether you look at it from the left or rightGood luck to you if you can train the wind to always blow from your left !
This is correct (Buckingham Palace)

Ahhh, so what you meant was “ the broad white strip should be uppermost on the side adjacent to the flagstaff”, which brings me back to my query -The broad white stripe is should be upper left.
Then, when the bike is moving it would fly just like the image on the tank.
I believe that upside down is a royal naval distress signal.
Or funster sent to Coventry. When the funster flag is flown upside down it's a distress signal too. "Funster out of beer"
