I'm a slightly less experienced newbie and still learning
Do funsters leave M.H. permanently connected during lay up periods, winter storage or otherwise? such as leaving it permanently connected but using a timer to restrict it to so many hours a day. Is there any potential to damage the Sargent PSU by adopting an incorrect mains disconnection procedure (according to the handbook) i.e. the timer on/off method, did it with a caravan for many years without problems.
Any thoughts?

Sounds like a good idea to me.

Our Motorhome charges by Solar. In the Winter I occasionally disconnect the batteries for a couple of weeks. Then pop on EHU.

Our Caravan I charge for 2 weeks, uncouple and charge etc.

Caravan Battery is 14 years old, Trojan. Motorhome Batteries, Gel, Trojan 6 years old.
