Returning to a motorhome.
I have an Autocruise Stardream and am taking it out for its maiden shakedown run next week. It has an end lounge that makes into a large double bed. What sort of sheet does one use on such a bed. Is it just a flat sheet casually draped across the cushions.?
And, before I scuff the nearside mirror on a Cornish hedge where can I obtain a reasonably priced protector cover? The ones I have seen on ebay seem not to fit the Autocruise's mirror arms. Cheers John.

We use a flat sheet over a thin protector that is mostly there to iron out some of the cushion buttons.

Can't help with the wing mirror covers.

I have a double mattress topper with a single quilt cover on it fits perfect
Before that I was using flat sheet over topper
Now just the topper with the quilt cover

That is the way we were leaning, but didn't know if there was anything that the makers had in mind when they sold the vans.

i think you prob need to look at mirror protectors specific to the base vehicle. Theyre not cheap but very good

a lot of people suggest MirrorGuards are better then others ..

Cornwall is a good challenge for a shakedown run. Narrow overgrown lanes if you you want to get to some of the best beaches.
Expect a few scratches to your nearside. We have mirrorguards which are first class. They will certainly protect your mirrors from wing mirror clashes and hedge scratching. We have electic retracting wing mirrors which were worth the extra outlay, used them continually in Cornwall!

When we had a van with made up bed we used a thin quilt, just throw it down and that’s it ready.

Although a bit pricey, Duvalay do a zipped sheet which we keep on a mattress topper so just shake the whole thing out as one - saves a lot of hassle.

Same for us, thin duvet in cover under, thicker according to season on top, easy to make, no tucking in etc 👍

Not wanting to spend much on bedding for our first van we bought a cheap mattress topper and put a sleeping back opened out on it. The weight of duvet we were using at home came with us. As a back up we took a second sleeping bag to add on top for extra warmth on cold nights.
We are still using the same bedding idea but have room to keep more in the motorhome we have moved on to rather than taking bedding from home or in my case forgetting it.

We forgot a duvet on our 3rd outing and had to buy one which now lives in the van.

Are they short or long arm mirrors?

If they're long arm I have a pair of little used one advertised in classifieds.
