No apology but I'm made up this weekend 2 x F1 sidecar races at BSB 6 podium's with my dry sump system, first 5 outfits home yesterday & first 4 home today :party2: I feel a drink coming on:cheers:

Yup - well done that man :)

Even though we are not competing now, we feel involved on the mechanical side, but when it all goes wrong you get really down so big high's & low's

Another great result this weekend for Kershaw Racing 2 x 3rd's on the podium after an horrendous accident in 2015 (Broken Link Removed ) first time out, what a come back.

It now has the latest ZX10R motor (2017) so a few more HP than before (y)

That sounds serious, I thought they were 600s but 200 bhp in something bent on killing you ( I drove a sidecar ONCE ) must be a bit thrilling.

There is a 600 class, the world's have gone 600 too, thats why Tim & Tris are only doing the British this year, they wanted to make the British 600 as well thats mainly why I pulled out as I have no interest in racing a 600, It was met with a lot of opposition so its been put on hold, I jumped a bit quick but the bike would have been greatly devalued so it was a good time to sell.

When you think Moto2 is apprentice class 2 just hauling a light frame and one body it seems a bit tame for two bodies and tyres like F1 cars.

On the other hand it may be very clever, lets face it, Moto1 and Moto2 produce staggering racing at lower cost. The other end of the scale, F1 is the ultimate technology and produces really boring racing for mega bucks. My point being that pure power does not guarantee good racing.

As the rule's stand our 1000's can only use a Kit head gasket & dial in the cam's so very good at keeping the cost down, with a std 600 in a F1 sidecar they don't preform so they allow fully tuned motors your looking at between £8-10,000 a motor, you have to have at least 2 maybe 3 with a highly strong 600 so the cost is going to rocket, & thats on top of buying your motor's, slightly off set by using fewer Tyre's though.

Engine size restriction is stupid. 1000cc stock motors meant everyone had a chance, now it will be the very few who can find someone to pay for it all. Top line 250 MX bikes do 10 hours tops.. 450 will do 3 times that , for half the cost.

Was a great race as were all of yesterday's and Sunday's at BSB,I can only get it on Eurosport live here and it's a bit patchy but Burnicle and Whit commentating made it a good afternoons watch.
Well done you.
The Stalker getting there isn't he?

your looking at between £8-10,000 a motor

It's never straightforward is it. The rule makers never seem to analise in width and depth. More knee jerk reaction and bullying for gain from manufacturers.

Like 900cc to 800cc MotoGP for safety, slow them down. They actually went faster.

But Moto3 and Moto2 seem to have been spot on.

My ex passenger posing (not on a Kawasaki ) but Jed never misses a photo opportunity
