Hiya everyone

I have a Macbook pro, and I find it really hard to use. In fact I hate it, but it won't give up the ghost, and I am too mean to replace it with a Microsoft product.

Anyway, all my travel photos are saved on the hard drive in albums. I want to be able to look at them on the TV screen.
I have a new Sony bravia.
I have an HDMI cable, and tried plug and play without success.

Can anyone guide me?
Simple bite size steps would be best probably.

Are you selecting HDMI 1 or 2 as the source on the TV

No MAC, but I can stream from the I-Pad to the T-V with a Chromecast dongle?.

Depending on the computer model you’ll need a mini display port to HDMI adaptor OR Apple TV to cast

If you’ve connected the laptop to the screen then
go to preferences
displays
mirror

If the TV is smart you could use PLEX app on the TV and install PLEX on the MacBook

PLEX

I use screen to Panasonic TV. It cost £9.99 I think it was but it works perfectly. Just look in the app store for "screen mirroring" to make of your tv.

Have you got an external HDD which you can copy the photos onto? Then you should be able to just plug the HDD into the TV which should have a media player built-in and play them that way
