I came around it yesterday after joining at M11.
Bad holdups at A10, A1 and most West junctions.
Things didn't get any better on M4 because of long 50mph speed restrictions.

Nearly 6hr constant ( I was going to write non-stop but that would have been a lie) driving, (highest motorway speeds where possible) to get to Quackers from Stansted! 😢

I think this may affect traffic heading to and from the Goodwood Festival of Speed. Likely push the traffic that would becoming from the N (via M25/A3) both E and W.

M25 - not a good place to be !
It never is.

When I go down to Hastings to see my partner I leave Manchester somewhere between 10pm and 1am and it’s not too bad by the time I get onto the M25, would avoid it during the day.

We use the M25 regularly to visit Mother-in Law. It can be a bit tedious but the alternatives are worse. Not visiting this weekend.

I used it last Saturday morning and the volume of traffic was insane. Goodness knows what will happen this weekend

I’ve got to go from Hertfordshire to eurotunnel 🤬🤬🤬
Not a problem.
Go over the top of London and cross via Dartford.
I'd then take the M2 down, not the M20

Set up your Dartcharge account on line now and never have to worry about it again,

(I'm doing a similar route in reverse, and even excluding the M25/M20 issues it's easier and faster to do Dartford and M25 north)

We're in Rye, heading to Nottingham tomorrow, we had a great trip down (M11/Dartford/M20) - not looking forward to the return trip.

It's only what you get used to. Wife and I used to work on M25 on 24/7 shift pattern and it was a great source of entertainment and busy workwise. Still don't mind driving round it these days. Cant see what all the fuss is about. Vast majority of the traffic problems are caused by poor driving and lack of planning and forethought..
Got my flack jacket on...

There is a reason.

It happens every Summer.

There is no reason I can understand. They make the HGVs drive for miles through a coned part of the motorway because cars will be going to pre booked crossings.
Miles of cones for nothing. Money wasted. The most vehicles in there are motorway wombles, in big cars engines running and with nothing to do. Same as every time I’ve passed it.

I've been up and down the M5 & M6 recently and hit some big contraflows, cones out for miles & no work going on as it all happens at night (apparently, I wasn't there to check). SMART motorway "improvements". Miles and miles of cones and slow traffic. Who know's, it may well be absolutely lovely when they're finished, unlike the other SMART motorways that frighten the hell out of me.

Always sounds straight forward but ? Dont take much to bung it up
