Looking for aires and sites on route to Luxembourg from the Channel Tunnel. This will be our first time abroad with motorhome. This will be a 4 week trip. Many thanks in advance.

Luxembourg is only 4ish hours from the tunnel all motorway so you might not need stay over night somewhere,

Camp domulin is a lovely setting in luxembourg under the castle lovely very refreshing river to swim in
Stopped for a night and stayed a week
Lovely beer and pizza too

Thanks for your reply. We have a 200 miles journey to get to the tunnel, looking for a stopover, before Luxembourg for a rest !

Strepy js a favourite of ours, not much there apart from walks but free.

Many thanks for your reply, looks great.

What about Ypres in Belgium as your first stop?
When you get to Luxemburg you should consider going to Vianden for a few days.
We stayed in the Stellplatz down by the river a few weeks ago.
It is in a fantastic location and just a short walk into town.

2cars. Ditto to both, but you can't overnight at the New Boat Lift, only at the old one, which illuminates via different coloured lights at night. (y) Free.

Jachthaven Peruwelz, a nice wee Aire by the canal, with a Bar/Restaurant where you pay a fee, (cheap as chips), with lovely Belgian Beers on tap. (y) EHU available too.

Esplanade George Grard at Tournai, again, by the water and again, a fee to pay.

Parking Koerich just over the border into Luxembourg. Free with EHU..................if quick enough. ;)

All accessible to >8.5M

Cheers,

Jock. :)

Redu is about 4 hours drive from the tunnel - a lovely free aire in a village with a couple of bars/restaurants and a bakery down the road.

Ditto that one too, but can be tight if not careful, pending size of MH.

Cheers,

Jock. :)

I think it'd probably be ok upto about 9m - we took our Rapido there numerous times (a smidge over 8m including the bike rack) and didn't think it was particularly tight.

Yes, but for those not fully aware, caution is the name of the game.........as always. ;)

Cheers,

Jock.
