Like many others, we hope to pop across to France into Spain for the first time next month for a spot of sunshine, but I'm aware that it'll be cold at night and we will probably need our gas heating on. Does anyone know if there are likely to be shortages of LPG in Spain due to the Ukraine war? I presume that if there is very little gas, campsites will be busier as people need the electricity to keep warm at night? Can I also ask if its necessary to book places like Bonterra Park for a few nights in October or is it going to be booked up solid? Thanks.

Plenty of GPL in France, no probs in topping up. Some supermarkets even have it on 24/7 availability !

As said no problems anywhere here + the amount of garages that have installed lpg pumps over the last few years is quite amazing.
Hello Gus, i live just down the road from you in Santa Maria De Nieva near Hurcal Overa, do you know of nearby garages that have an LPG pump?

Earlier this year we were in a queue of Dacia gas cars filling up. They seem very popular in France

yes knee deep in them here.very popular.Friend has just bought one. Local council & irrigation water supplier uses them + we have loads of ambulances that run on it as well now.

Thanks, we just booked a couple of nights on the coast at Aguilas next week, theres a garage just down the road from the site there that has LPG.
Bellavista? Yes the garage ,Anibal, will fill anything. They also have a complete aire with full facilities now.

We were in Catalunya a week or so ago, and used myLPG.eu. Found a station easily and filled up no problem. Sites quite busy.

Filled yesterday in Handelwitt Germany at €1.129 per litre.
Can also report no problems in Norway € equivalent at between €1.4 to €1.7 per litre all self service pumps.

Travelled from Ypres to Millau so far and there appears to be plenty available. Cheapest I’ve seen is 74 cents a litre

We are heading to Norway next summer, can I ask which adaptor do you need for LPG there? Need to make sure I have the right kit on board. Thanks

Believe it or not I encountered three different types, the most common was the dish type as used in France, secondly the what I'd call bayonet type (I think the UK type but it's a long time since I've been in UK) and last the large acme screw thread.

Thanks everyone, seems to be no real problems getting gas at the moment anywhere. Maybe the diesel prices will settle down this winter too.

Yes, thats where we are staying, we did look at the Anibal site but the wife preferred Bellavista.
Our first trip away in the motorhome so not too far away from home if we have problems!

Travelling from Calais to Toulouse the last two weeks. No problem all the way down. Seems to average about 76 Cents a litre, and as in Spain diesel and petrol are subsidised by the government. £1.51 a litre last fill up we had for diesel. And it is 27 C in Condom at the lovely Municipal site where we are staying.
