For anyone else down this way, I'm just looking at the plans for the changes they want to make to the petrol station at Littlehampton Morrisons, and it looks like they're removing the LPG pumps, and associated storage tanks.

Still shows calor gas cylinders or are they cages for bottles?

If I'm down there this week I'll ask them. I think it is pumps 7/8 that are the LPG ones? Next nearest to me is Birdham and it tends to be expensive there.

LPG pumps are just next to 7&8.
I'm in there all the time so might ask too.

Morrisons at bramley Rotherham have just upgraded their pumps. I thought they were removing lpg because it was hard to get to.But they've put a brand new lpg pump which you can get to from both sides of pump.So maybe they are doing same at yours.

Ah, ok. So looks like they are going! Be interesting to see what they have to say.

Over the years the lpg supply at this site has been very haphazard (most often not available) - from the plan I cannot see if it is planned - most likely NOT would be my guess. We have found the only reliable source locally has been the Broadfield, Crawley garage.

Birdham is just up the road from me so very handy.
Probably one of the dearest places but still much cheaper than calor cylinders.

i hope they put a fresh pie counter in there would be nice to pick up a pie while i pay for gas, saves me going in the main store for the bakery

That will be a bummer do about 80% of our filling there.
I've noticed the BP stations at Golden Cross (A22) & Patcham (A23 Brighton) have both reduced there price to 1.099 Lt.

Patcham has a difficult pump to get access to. was on the wrong side to our filler - ours is on the nearside

Agree that's why I normally drive a few extra miles to Littlehampton.

I got stuck a Patcham once parked too close to the pump the the cashier had to come out to see me out.
Smaller van now so should be OK.

Will be topping up at Golden Cross tomorrow, nice easy access there.

Plenty at Morrisons forecourt in Ipswich (now called Motor Fuel Ltd). 19.45ltrs today £21.47 (£1.009pl). Didn’t realise the bottles were that low.

Bugger I'm in Brighton, I have a safefill bottle, so can't use Patcham nor I think Crawley... oh well top up as you go I suppose.... Littlehampton was relatively handy!

To be honest Len I can’t for the life of me remember the capacity for each bottle. I know each one weighs c24kgs when full. I only know that has curiosity got the better of me a year or two back when fitting new restraining straps. I think there 12kg bottles (Gaslow). It’s to cold to nip outside now, we’re down our favourite stopover Aldeburgh for a couple of nights.

Try Crawley - Broadfield

Try BP garage on the A22 at Golden Cross not that far from Ringmer. Pump not very visible to cashier.

Ahh so I’d just about used one complete bottle. I thought it strange the the gauge on the other bottle was still showing full.

I know the inbuilt gauges can be a bit hit and miss, but it looks likes it’s working fine.

PS. Thanks for the info, as always.
