I am planning a trip around Scotland and the Hebrides, does anyone know where I can top up with LPG.

Very difficult at the moment, our local garages are out of gas & their suppliers are telling them they don't know when they will get any as there is a shortage?

We are lucky on the North East coast of Scotland where Gleaner service stations always have LPG available. All shown on the FillLPG app.

MyLPG.eu app is useful for answering these questions.

There’s one at the garage in Broadford on Skye, and another in Ullapool at the vehicle repair garage on the way north out of town. I use them both on a regular basis. (y) If you’re sailing to the Hebrides from Skye then the one next to the Co Op would be perfect.

We filled up at Onich Service Station, on the A82 between Glencoe and Ft William about a month ago.
We have our filler point inside the gas locker so had to open the locker door in view of the kiosk. Filled up without problem.

As Gerry says, it's a big area but this is where a lot of Glasgow Taxis fill up. We also fill our Safefill cylinders there.

Easiest solution, as already mentioned, is MyLPG app. I've found invaluable all over Europe for filling up. You can check the price and when last verified etc...

Campbells at Stornaway on Lewis. Garage on the A9 at Alness north of Inverness. Asda at Broadford on Skye. And garage at Onich south of Fort William all have LPG pumps. They don’t always have LPG though so top up where you can.

I always use the petrol station on the south side of Perth. Opposite the prison.

Morrison in Falkirk usually have it. Handy if you're planning a visit to the Kelpies and the Wheel.

We made two trips to Scotland last year . Used apps for LPG I would advise phoning ahead to ensure they're still supplying as most of the apps aren't up-to-date with the information

North of Inverness, heading North over the bridge on The A9 take Tore Exit for The Black Isle (Sign posted Rosemarkie or Cromarty), proceed along A832 about half a mile on the left is The Tore Service Station, LPG Pump is at the rear of service station on the left, there is also a transport café open during the day, handy for a lunch stop.
LPG is a tad dearer than normal, however The Ullapool Garage is really taking the micky at £1.42 ltr last time looked.

Still available at Skiach on A9 towards Alness. Also in Ullapool.
Is that at Morrisons? Googled it and it doesn't show an LPG pump, so guess it must be another garage in Alness?
Thanks

Did you think to update the Apps when you found "no gas" or even if you did find gas?
These Apps, after all, rely on us users to keep them up to date..

Of course. However, the whole point of my post was to alert people they can't rely on App information ( as I initially did). As they will end up wasting their time going to locations only to find they no longer supply LPG

... or even if they do, they might have temporarily run out (not uncommon)
