LPG gas stations

And a recent thread with those that have filled up with LPG.

Most Morrisons petrol stations have an LPG pump.
Mainly up North it would seem, I am so envious, the nearest down south and only one listed is in Littlehampton, Sussex, that will keep Lenny HB happy on his way to the ferry when allowed.
I checked on the Safefill site for Morrisons with LPG only to be disappointed yet again, shame as we have so many Morrison stores around us but none with LPG.
Safefill list below.

No LPG available at our regular stop off at the Co-Op Garage, Cirencester Services, on the A417 M4 to M5 link road, they had run out of LPG, apparently their LPG supplier had none left in stock to deliver!
I wonder what's going on, hopefully not another example of driver shortages.
We dont use that much LPG in the summer, but use a lot when away in the winter with no hook up, another thing to worry about I guess.

PS: That FillLPG map is useless, as you scroll in on the map, all the pump symbols disappear:mad:

Wrong way for the ferry but have filled up there twice in the last month, its 12miles from me. Not nearest but a lot cheaper and
the pump access is vesy easy also has a very good connector.

I am struggling to understand why people only want to fill up with LPG close to where they live. The whole point of a motorhome is to drive it away from where you live. We have never had any trouble finding places to fill up whilst touring in the UK, or Europe. Check regularly on my Mopeka app and once my first bottle is getting low I just look at the FillLPG app in UK, or the MyLPG app in Europe to find places with LPG on or near to our proposed route and then top up. I don't leave it until I am almost out. I have 2 x 11kg Gasit bottles but rarely put more than 20 to 25 litres in at any one time.

That's exactly what I do, fill up en route to the next site 👍🏼

peterc10 and Ginster I agree, just plan a route and look for lpg filling places, ...it works easily. I wonder if it's those who have had a caravan previously and buy their gas near home before they set off

Yep me too. However due to being forced to go south next month and because having read on here there seems to be a shortage down south. I will fill up as we set off at the first LPG station I see. We do have three locally, one of which I can see from my house.

Till you get to a Greek island with no LPG station and not even a re-filling station for cylinders(all cylinders arrive on the island full), but I have an old Calor as back-up.

If we are away and need LPG we'll use the app or just keep our eyes open - usually we refill when we are part way through the orange on the gauge. Otherwise we tend to fill up on our way home from a trip or as part of the tidy and clean up after a trip as we know where we can get gas locally. I'd rather set off with a full cylinder of LPG and a full tank of diesel. After that we live off the land so to speak.

There is an LPG area in the Local Guide part of the forum, not as detailed yet as the online apps.
