Hi Guys,
I bought a motorhome in August with LPG cylinders (2 doubled up in the locker outside.

I have no idea how much is in them, so each journey, I go and fill up in local station costing around 4 Pound, so NOT Expensive.

What I want to know, is that all the leads are joined up together, so does this mean that when One Tank is empty, that the SECOND TANK then AUTOMATICALLY goes into use? They were put in for a vanlifer in Spain, so something tells me, that this is the case, but just do not want to travel to Europe next year to find that I have run out ?

So REASSURANCE more than anything is requested Thank you guys

As above. Send a picture of your set up and folks can advise.
We have refillables and always have one bottle turned off and use one bottle till its empty or just refill as you have done when you see a gas fill station. Best to use the bottles in turn . So next time you fill up turn off the bottle you were using and open the other. If you have an auto changeover valve it's best to set it to manual just so you know you have some gas in one of the bottles.(y)

As Sue and Rick said a photo would be helpful.

There are two main types of changeover valves - one is automatic and the other is manual and you could have either one.

I personally quite like the manual ones even if there's some minor inconvenience in having to switch them over because you can't miss the fact that one of your bottles is now empty.

Ah! Jimbohorlicks just made the same point as I was typing!
