More or less in town perfect for pubs etc wardens couldn't do enough for you, breakfast in bed, goblin teas made etc!

I've never stopped at the Lode as we live in Cheltenham.
Looks a nice site though, no idea about facilities either.
Used to be good food there when we used to go over.

We live in Tewkesbury and go to the pub every so often. It's a typical old country pub by the river, no airs and graces but nice food and beer. Although on the map it looks next door to the town it's on the other side of the river so unless the passenger ferry is running it's a couple of miles drive down the lanes. Tewkesbury is a lovely old town with good pubs and a few restaurants. The Abbey is superb and the river walks excellent. The Caravan Club site does have the benefit of being almost in the town centre though.

Bill, we've stayed there loads of times, knew a couple of full timers there. Landlady ( Sam, easy to spot as her chest enters the room half hour before she does, reason enough to go there!!!) is lovely, food and beer is great. Facilities basic but fine. Good as long as you want to stay put, getting anywhere is a long drive! The guy who runs the ferry (piers) is FT in his RV down there, interesting to chat too, another mate Wyn was also there, but I think he may no longer be with us.

Ah Mike, the perfect foil! She couldn't tell me, she was well brought up though as she was taught not to speak with her mouth full!
