Although this happened at a site in Roses, Spain. Those low lying bollards are in quite a few sites around Europe. In some places they also use boulders, right where you need the extra room to get around a tight corner.

A poor UK couple in a nice Frankia were victims this morning. As they were leaving the pitch, he turned too early and caught the nearside rear arch trim. Sadly he kept on going and tore the steel girder out of the ground. This just dug into the side more and caused more damage. Not only to the trim but the side of the van was badly damaged.

So take care everyone, when leaving pitches and keep an eye out, as these bollards/markers are mainly unseen by the mirrors. But can cause massive damage.

We saw something similar at a site in France. On the pitch next to us was what looked like a brand new Adria Twin, he too turned just that bit early catching a massive bolder which was there to protect a short light column, ripped a big hole in the bottom panels including the side door. for some reason he kept going after the initial impact.

Caught a stainless steel post that was just covered by some bushes when on a site in Croatia last year🤬🤬
Just swung around to get onto a pitch and it caught my locker door, luckily it’s just the door so will be an easy spray job.
